Episode 1

The video follows the story of Sir Alec Ardan, a legendary knight and war hero of the kingdom of Valyrian whose rising popularity and influence cause the insecure King Cedric to frame him for treason. Exiled to the desolate and cursed island of Blackwake—a place meant to be his grave—Alec refuses to succumb to despair. Instead, he discovers a vast, untapped reserve of black oil seeping from the island's cliffs. Using his tactical ingenuity and the resourcefulness he developed on the battlefield, he begins to refine this crude substance into valuable lamp fuel and lubricants. Alec systematically transforms the barren island into an industrial stronghold, recruiting fellow outcasts like the skilled shipwright Garen and his companion Thomas to build a thriving, fortified operation. As his reputation for trade grows, Alec defends his burgeoning enterprise against opportunistic raiders, establishing a new order on Blackwake. Ultimately, he evolves from a betrayed soldier into the master of a powerful, autonomous industry, preparing himself for the inevitable day when the kingdom will be forced to acknowledge the empire he has forged from the very land where he was sent to die.
